Equipment

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by heating a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the Italian sausage and cook for 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula until it's browned and cooked through. Once browned, drain any excess fat from the skillet, leaving the delicious flavor behind.
  2. Next, add the minced garlic to the skillet with the sausage. Sauté the garlic for about 30 seconds, stirring constantly to prevent it from browning.
  3. Stir in the dried minced onion flakes, uncooked campanelle pasta, spaghetti sauce, and water into the skillet. Bring this mixture to a boil, ensuring everything is well combined.
  4. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low and cover the skillet. Let it simmer for approximately 15 minutes, allowing the pasta to absorb most of the liquid.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cottage cheese, cream cheese, grated Parmesan, and dried parsley until smooth and creamy.
  6. Once the pasta is cooked, dollop the cheese mixture evenly over the pasta in the skillet. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella on top for a gooey finish. Cover the skillet again and cook on medium-low for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
