  4. Flip and Check Temperature: Flip the steak and cook for an additional 3 minutes, checking internal temperature to be 10°F below desired doneness.
  5. Baste: Add unsalted butter, smashed garlic, and fresh thyme to the skillet and baste the steak for about 1 minute.
  6. Rest: Transfer the steak to a plate, cover loosely with foil, and let rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing.
