Preparation Steps

- Pat the whole chicken dry with paper towels and place it breast-side up in an oven-safe pan.

- Optional: Truss the chicken legs with kitchen twine for even cooking.
- Roast the chicken in the oven for 70-90 minutes until the skin is golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
