- Prepare the chicken mixture by placing ground chicken in a large mixing bowl and letting it sit for 15–20 minutes.

- Form the mixture into four patties, about ½ to ¾ inch thick, making a thumb indentation in the center.
- Wrap the patties in plastic wrap and chill them for at least 15 minutes.
