For the Apple Filling
  • 3 cups Apples (Honeycrisp, Granny Smith) thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon nutmeg optional
For the Salted Caramel
  • 1 cup Salted Caramel Sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 1 teaspoon Flaky Sea Salt optional for topping

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Gradually mix in all-purpose flour until crumbly, reserving two-thirds for the base.
  3. Thinly slice the apples and toss with ground cinnamon (and nutmeg, if desired) in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Press the reserved crust mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan. Spread the spiced apple mixture over it, drizzle with salted caramel sauce, and sprinkle the remaining crumble on top.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and apples are tender.
  6. Let the bars cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before slicing into squares.
