Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by prepping your ingredients for the Garlic Butter Steak and Potatoes Skillet. Allow the sirloin steak to sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes for even cooking. Dice the Yukon Gold potatoes into uniform cubes, slice the mushrooms, and mince the garlic.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the diced potatoes in a single layer. Season with salt and pepper, and cook for approximately 5-7 minutes without stirring.
  3. Remove the browned potatoes from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add the sirloin steak cubes and sear for about 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally until browned on all sides. Set the steak aside with the potatoes.
  4. Lower heat to medium and add the unsalted butter to the skillet. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute. Then, add the sliced mushrooms, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until tender.
  5. Return the seared steak and crispy potatoes to the skillet with the garlic butter and mushrooms. Gently toss to coat everything in the sauce. Cook for 2-3 minutes to meld the flavors.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve immediately with a green salad or crusty bread.
