- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and instant yeast. Let sit for 2 minutes until frothy. Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until a sticky dough forms. Knead for 1 minute until smooth.
- Divide dough into 12 equal pieces and shape each into a small ball. Aim for a size of 1 to 1.5 inches.
- Bring a large pot of water to a gentle boil and add baking soda. Boil each pretzel bite for 10 seconds on each side. Use a slotted spoon to remove and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Sprinkle pretzel bites with coarse sea salt and bake for 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown.
