  • 4 oz Pepper Jack Cheese Can substitute with mozzarella
  • 4 slices Bacon Cooked and crumbled; turkey bacon optional
For the Coating
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs Panko breadcrumbs recommended
  • 2 large Eggs Beaten
For the Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your deep fryer or pot with oil to 375°F (190°C). Dice jalapenos and remove seeds, if desired. Cook bacon in a skillet until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Allow to cool and crumble.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, pepper jack cheese, diced jalapenos, and crumbled bacon. Blend until fully incorporated and creamy.
  3. Scoop portions of filling and roll into 1-1.5 inch balls. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Set up a dredging station with beaten eggs and seasoned breadcrumbs. Coat each ball in egg, then roll in breadcrumbs.
  5. Fry the coated balls in hot oil for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Use a slotted spoon to monitor color.
  6. Remove bites from oil and drain on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Cool before serving.
