Preparation Instructions
- Prepare the apples by peeling, coring, and chopping them into small pieces. Microwave for 2 to 2½ minutes until they soften and set aside to cool.
- Make the dough by combining flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a bowl. Mix warm water and melted butter separately, then combine with dry ingredients and beaten egg.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 6 to 8 minutes until smooth, then place it in a greased bowl to rest for about 10 minutes.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter, layer cooled apples, and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
- Tightly roll the dough, cut into 12 equal pieces, and arrange in a greased baking pan, cut side up.
- Let the rolls rise in a warm area for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20 to 30 minutes until golden brown.
- For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar, melted butter, milk, and maple syrup together, then drizzle over the warm rolls.

Notes
Use Granny Smith apples for optimal flavor, knead until dough is smooth, and let rolls rise for best texture.
