Preparation Instructions
  1. Prepare the apples by peeling, coring, and chopping them into small pieces. Microwave for 2 to 2½ minutes until they soften and set aside to cool.
  2. Make the dough by combining flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a bowl. Mix warm water and melted butter separately, then combine with dry ingredients and beaten egg.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 6 to 8 minutes until smooth, then place it in a greased bowl to rest for about 10 minutes.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter, layer cooled apples, and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
  5. Tightly roll the dough, cut into 12 equal pieces, and arrange in a greased baking pan, cut side up.
  6. Let the rolls rise in a warm area for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20 to 30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar, melted butter, milk, and maple syrup together, then drizzle over the warm rolls.
