Step-by-Step Instructions for Caramel Pear Cider
  1. Prepare the spice bag by gathering your mulling spices and placing them into a spice bag or a piece of cheesecloth. Tie it securely and set it aside.
  2. In a Dutch oven or heavy-bottomed pan, pour in about 4 cups of apple cider along with 2 cups of pear hard cider. Stir in caramel syrup and blend well over medium heat.
  3. Drop the spice bag into the pot along with two cinnamon sticks. Reduce heat to low and cover, allowing the cider to simmer for about 1 hour.
  4. After simmering, remove the spice bag and stir in the pear liqueur. Add fresh pear slices for enhanced flavor and presentation.
  5. Ladle the warm cider into clear mugs and garnish with a cinnamon stick or a slice of fresh pear.
