  • Salt To taste.
  • Nutmeg Pinch, to taste.
  • Chili Powder Pinch, to taste.

Step-by-Step Instructions for Tabouli Salad
  1. Soak the Bulgur Wheat: Rinse the bulgur wheat under cool water, then soak in 1.5 cups of hot water for about 30 minutes until softened.
  2. Make the Vinaigrette: Whisk together olive oil, lemon juice and zest, crushed garlic, and a pinch of salt, nutmeg, and chili powder until well combined.
  3. Chop the Vegetables and Herbs: Finely chop the parsley, mint, green onions, tomatoes, and cucumber.
  4. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, add the drained bulgur and pour the vinaigrette over it, then mix in the herbs and vegetables.
  5. Let it Chill (Optional): Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Serve and Garnish: Toss gently and garnish with mint leaves and a drizzle of olive oil before serving.
