Step-by-Step Instructions for Pepper Steak and Onions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, chicken stock, water, and cornstarch. Whisk until smooth and set aside.
  2. Take your sirloin tips and sprinkle them with salt and a splash of the prepared soy-oyster sauce mix. Toss to coat evenly, then let them marinate for about 5 minutes.
  3. Heat a tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef to the pan, sear for about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. In the same skillet, add bell peppers and sliced onions. Stir-fry for around 2 minutes until they start to soften.
  5. Add minced garlic, paprika, and grated ginger, continuing to cook for another 2–3 minutes.
  6. Pour the prepared sauce mixture into the pan with the sautéed vegetables. Stir continuously until the sauce thickens slightly, about 1–2 minutes.
  7. Return the beef to the skillet, tossing everything together to coat in the fragrant sauce. Heat through for an additional minute.
  8. Once everything is well-combined and heated, remove the skillet from heat. Garnish with chopped green onions.
