Step-by-Step Instructions for Ground Turkey Orzo
  1. Begin by washing and cutting the fresh broccoli into bite-sized pieces. Set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add broccoli pieces and sauté for 5-6 minutes until tender.
  3. Add another ½ tablespoon of olive oil, then crumble in 1 pound of extra lean ground turkey. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  4. Stir in 1 and ⅓ cups of orzo, allowing it to toast for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Pour in 2 tablespoons of lemon pepper seasoning, 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard, and ¼ cup of lemon juice. Deglaze with 2 and ½ cups of chicken broth and cook for 6-8 minutes.
