Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by washing your cucumbers thoroughly and then slice them thinly, about ⅛-inch thick.
  2. Place the cucumber slices in a colander and sprinkle a pinch of salt over them. Allow to drain for about 15 minutes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, white wine vinegar, garlic powder, and fresh dill. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Pat the cucumber slices dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, add the dried cucumber slices and pour the dressing over them. Toss gently.
  6. Fold in the cheddar cheese and bacon bits, stirring gently to incorporate.
  7. Transfer the salad to the refrigerator and chill for at least 15 minutes.
