Step-by-Step Instructions for One Pan Cheesy Tuna Pasta
- In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-low heat. Add thinly sliced onions and sauté for about 6-8 minutes until they soften and turn translucent.
- Pour in 1 can of chopped tomatoes along with 1 cup of hot water, 1 teaspoon of sugar, and season with salt and pepper. Stir and let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in 250 grams of pasta, ensuring it's submerged in the sauce. Increase the heat to high, and bring to a rolling boil.
- Reduce heat to medium and allow the pasta to simmer gently for 14 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Once pasta is cooked, remove from heat. Gently fold in 1 can of drained tuna and 150 grams of crème fraîche until fully blended.
- Return to low heat and fold in approximately 150 grams of mozzarella cheese until fully melted.
- Plate your One Pan Cheesy Tuna Pasta and garnish with fresh parsley or basil before serving.
